Who are you am I? is a video installation that questions my idea of self by confronting two versions of me. This first, a body extension doll, is inanimate but more truly represents me. It is filled with time that "define" me such as pillows and sheets I slept on, clothes I wore, and journal entries from the month of July 2021. The second version, the video, should be the real me since I am physically present, but I have changed defining features so that I lose my sense of self. I'm trying to get it back by interacting with the doll, and in the end, I am physically overpowered by it. The viewer is invited to watch me regain my sense of self while sitting in and wrapped in the body pillow.
